Winter food to me means comfort food and, growing up in England, it was always a time for long Sunday lunches and a pot of bubbling sweet scented stew on the stove.

Whilst there is plenty on the menu for you to choose from, I have given a few suggestions for winter warming ideas. So whether you are entertaining a large crowd or, with the cold dark nights setting in, why not treat yourself to a home-cooked Goodness Gracious dinner. All you have to do is pop it in the oven, pot or microwave and each dish comes with instructions.

Please give us as much notice as possible, especially when it comes to larger numbers, but I do keep a good supply of stock in my freezer.

Lamb Tagine with Apricots and Almonds

Tender leg of lamb cubes braised in Moroccan spices with sweet potato, apricots and almonds. Simply serve with minted couscous and garnish with coriander. Serves 8+ on request

Indonesian Pork Fillet with Lemon Grass

2chilliesPork fillet cooked with Asian flavours using lemon grass, coconut, coriander and a hint of chilli. We would serve this dish in a bowl on a bed of rice.

Beef and Guinness Pie

Topside beef, pan-fried to seal in the flavour and braised slowly with Guinness and vegetables to make a thick gravy which is then topped with puff pastry. Delicious served with green beans, steamed broccoli or peas.
